Today, Tamara, Thomas and Kagan enjoyed a visit to the office of the Lord Provost of Edinburgh. They told him how Forthview learnt about the people of Burma and about their friends in Hle Bee School, Mae Sot. We showed the Lord Provost the card that Tom Nin Aing from Burma sent Kagan.We think Tom Nin Aing will be amazed that the Lord Provost of Edinburgh read his card, which he had amazingly written in English. Kaude, Tom Nin Aing! This is Ms Laing's attempts to say, 'Very good' in Burmese!
The children did, of course, sell the Lord Provost a ribbon 'to remember the monks and the people of Burma'.
Sadly Dr Thein Lwin was not able to come with us and meet the Lord Provost as planned as he is still awaiting a UK visa in Germany.
