Lord George Foulkes lights the Burma Christmas Tree

On Friday 7 December, Lord George Foulkes MSP, gave Forthview a christmas tree from the Forestry Commission because of our support for the Burmese people. It is a beautiful Scottish tree and we decorated it with saffron ribbons and white lights. It's the first time George, as he told us to call him, has ever switched christmas tree lights on but he was brilliant with the children. "Count down. 5 -4 -3 - 2 -1," he said and the tree lit up.

Then the P7s came (late!) and George said, "Let's do it again and from 7 this time." That got the wee ones' brains going! "7 - 6 - 5 - 4 - 3 - 2 - 1". It was another magic moment at Forthview and we all want to say a huge "THANK YOU GEORGE!"
